Robby & Sabrina Sullivan’s Wedding Reception

By In Weddings On September 12, 2011

The sunshine finally came out Saturday in the DMV area after a week straight of awful rain. We packed up the truck and headed to Arlington, VA to the Key Bridge Marriott for Robby and Sabrina’s wedding.

The ballroom was on the 14th floor of the hotel with a spectacular view of our Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C.

The room was decorated in gorgeous blues and greens. The tables had blue table clothes with stunning green flower arrangements. The colors really complimented each other along with the gold trim from the chairs and the table settings.

We alternated blue and green uplights around the room. The contrast of the white walls with our uplights and the dark wood made for a very elegant ambiance.

The dance floor was right next to the windows that overlooked the city; the windows stretched the whole width of the ballroom.

Our set up was on a stage at one of the ends of the dance floor. We used our dual totem set-up with 2 moving head fixtures on top. We also had both totems uplit along with two extra uplights on the dance floor near the windows.

Robby and Sabrina were awesome to work with and such a fun couple. Sabrina is a huge Redskins fan while Robby is a Cowboys fan. They had their own “Sullivan” Redskin and

Cowboys jerseys on the back of their chairs at the sweetheart table. It was definitely a neat personal touch. They also had bright green beer koozies for their guests to use for their beverages. They had a caricature artist during the cocktail hour for all their guests that wanted a fun unique favor to take home.

Everyone in the bridal party had their own song during the introductions. They all came in dancing or using props to have some fun. Mr. & Mrs. Robby Sullivan were introduced as husband and wife for the first time to “Juicy” by Notorious B.I.G and danced the entire way in.

After dinner was served the Best Man, Maid of Honor, and the Father of the Bride gave their toasts. These were by far some of the best speeches we have heard at weddings. They were ALL fantastic.

Once the dance floor was opened it was packed until the very end. Everyone danced and had an amazing time. It was such an awesome group of people that were ready to party and have a good time. We brought out a few throwback songs that everyone loved. We did “Mo Money Mo Problems” to “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” to “Yeah – Usher” and everyone went wild. We did “Come on Ride the Train” with the bride leading the train.

We will definitely remember Robby and Sabrina’s wedding as one of the best events of 2011!

We wish them a lifetime of happiness together as Mr. & Mrs. Robby Sullivan.
